I fished a lot growing up! On the Cape Cod canal mostly. I loved it!! It was very peaceful sitting on the rocks watching the boats go by hoping for a big fish.
I was pretty good too! 🐟
Now as I’ve gotten older, I’m a wimp about it all! Constantly doing a catch and release of everything I find on our patio. Frogs, lizards, ants for crying out loud 😄
But maybe I’ll fish again someday…

A super talented friend of mine did this with a couple of her paintings and I wanted to try it too.
It’s especially great for this one as in my mind, the fish gets away, or the boy releases it. Like what I’ve written above about myself. In this clip, you see him so happy he caught the fish. And then he looks at it and wonders if it’s so great for the fish. He pulls it in and let’s it go. Catch and release for life. Little story filled in here by my whole family ❤️
