Summer Dusk

Acrylic paints on stretched canvas.

One of my favorite places to go in Washington state. Lime Kiln State Park on San Juan Island. My first visit there and I saw… wild orcas!! They came right up to the rocks I was standing on!! One of them sort of turned over on their side leisurely and I saw this big eye looking at me as it swam by.

Yes, it may have been looking at me like I could be a yummy fish. But I like to think it was just as curious about this strange creature standing on the rocks as I was of it 😃

P.S.
There’s a very short animation of this painting. Click on the picture’s arrow until you see the tiny gray square. I haven’t figured out how to fix that yet sigh… I know AI has a bad rep. But seeing my own art animate, even just for a moment, glitches and all… Thrilling!!! A super talented friend of mine did this with a couple of her paintings and I wanted to try it too.

Oooohhhhh Ahhhhhhh
