This painting comes from a day spent at a park with my family in Bellevue, Washington. Fell in love with these little fluffballs. Got as close as I could without disturbing them, or their protective Mama, and laid down on the ground for just the right angle for a quick photo. Grass stains and all, worth it!

Only a day after hatching, theses cuties head out to the water with their parents and can swim right away. After a month or so they can fly on their own… but these ones look quite comfy sitting close together in the warm sun ❤
